Talisman Jacket is a birthday hit!

Triple Aught Design truly delivers when it comes to strong, durable outdoor gear. Their equipment and clothing for both men and women are built with care and precision, and every detail is considered to meet high standards. I recently bought the Talisman Jacket for my ex-military father’s birthday, and honestly, it was the best decision. I was lucky to find a store that stocks a variety of military-inspired gear, and my dad couldn’t have been happier with the gift. The fit was spot on, thanks to the precise and accurate size guide provided. Okay, full disclosure—I secretly borrowed one of his jackets to measure it. It was worth it!

The material is premium, thick and sturdy, but not too stiff. Both my father and I love it. My mom? Not so much… mostly because she’s not thrilled about how to wash it. The color is great too, so good that my older brother’s already hinted he wants the same one for his birthday next month. Yikes.

Windproof Ranger Hoodie

The TAD hoodie is, without a doubt, a top-tier piece of gear. The combination of Polartec and WindPro tech shines here. This hoodie does an excellent job of blocking wind. That said, I often find myself unzipping the vents near the biceps to avoid overheating, especially around the armpits. Fortunately, those zippers are thoughtfully placed and easy to use.

I wore this hoodie during a recent climbing trip and was impressed. It didn’t restrict my movement like many other hoodies do. Clearly, this was designed with outdoor functionality in mind. The hood is another highlight. When it’s not pulled over, it doubles as a high collar, which adds warmth and versatility. However, I noticed that it doesn't comfortably accommodate a climbing helmet—something to consider depending on your activity.

The best Litespeed bag I've ever had

Buying this bag was no easy feat. It’s often sold out, which just shows how popular it is, despite the high price tag. When it finally arrived, I was surprised by its weight. I thought maybe it had packaging material inside, but no, it’s just a hefty bag even when empty. The weight seems to come from how solid and well-built it is. I’ve been using it for fieldwork, and it’s definitely up for the job. It carries all the tools I need and holds up impressively under pressure. The design is super slick. Not overtly tactical or military-style, but still rugged and eye-catching. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it. One of my highlights is the clamshell opening, which makes access easy and practical.
